Xyrias Montari is a imperial commander who joined the empire in her youth by her own desire as her father who was an admiral and brother who was a purge trooper both inspired her need to do more for the faction she believed in. At age sixteen whilst she was still studying at the imperial academy on Carida, her brother was killed by a Jedi which changed the teenagers life completely.She developed a cruel personality and took pleasure in causing pain to others and even herself. Deep down Xyrias does have a soft side but it’s very difficult to access due to her ignorant and toxic outer shell. Continuing to serve the Empire she is well known for her volatile temper and incredible capabilities when in the cockpit of her TIE Interceptor.

Xyrias had the intentions of raising her daughter as a weapon but after the death of her first love since her brother’s death she softened up and let Andriax leave imperial custody allowing her to grow up in the Coruscant underworld.ARVIS MONTARIArvis is Xyrias uncle and the current orchestrator of the Montari family although his leadership isn’t fully supported by others. Knowing that his niece had the power, reputation and backing to knock him out of the seat of power the built a strong relationship with her and also fed her ignorance and rage so it would keep her more focused on other things.KRIENA VAKKARDKreina is the cousin of Xyrias who separated herself from the Montari family at a very young age. The pair didn’t cross paths until Kriena beat Xyrias to the killing of her mother. Xyrias didn’t know the relevance of the kill but the pair allowed each other to move on without conflict.KYLA MONTARIKyla is Xyrias’ mother who always was big on science but whilst Xyrias grew up she was mostly serving the ISB until she retired to help the Empire further by making all kinds of scientific advances which benefited the faction so cared for so much.SANNA MONTARISanna is Xyrias’ closest cousin and the pair almost have an unbreakable relationship. The pair really bonded when Xyrias lost her brother and spent months grieving unable to speak. Sanna helped the teenager bounce back and enabled her to finish her imperial academic studies.TYLAN MONTARITylan was Xyrias’ older brother who did almost everything for the teenager until he was killed by Vosca Serv’laya. His death hit Xyrias hard and it was the origin of her cruel outlook for life. In her youth Xyrias was trained mostly by Tylan since her parents were busy with other things so only had time for brief engagements with their children.VARON MONTARIXyrias’ father was a decorated and respected republic turned imperial admiral admiral who desired for his little girl to grow up in a galaxy of order by fighting and training his son to follow in his footsteps. However the little girl was eager to learn and he didn’t want to stand in the way of what she wanted to do.VOSCA SERV’LAYAVosca was Xyrias’ cousin who was a Jedi. After being abandoned by her father she cut off all ties to him and lived a normal life alongside her mother yet when the Jedi purge took place she decided to seek him out and instead found a toying Xyrias, Tylan and Sanna who she played hide and seek with becoming an idol to the three of them. Several years later she then ended up killing Tylan unintentionally which she knew would change her cousin’s life completely.

Ava also known as the Shadowhand demanded she have Xyrias and her squadron work directly for her. Together the pair completed important missions and each one Xyrias could feel the weight and importance of so her behaviour began to improve and she had more of a drive to impress her superiors.DIAH
Diah is a woman who appeals to Xyrias’s nature to be good and calm but it’s mostly short lived since as soon as she leaves her presence most of the things they speak about in their safe space remain there so Xyrias can commit atrocities elsewhere. Diah is a close friend of Xyrias’s and she does respect her opinion even if she disagrees with it at times.ELEVENTH SISTER
Xyrias and Eleventh sister came in to contact when the pilot needed assistance with the hunting of a Jedi she had discovered. After spending some time together the pair were entered a toxic relationship which involved the pair blackmailing each other at different points.FOURTEENTH SISTER
Xyrias met Fourteenth Sister during a visit to Fortress Inquisitorious where the pair became acquainted pretty quickly but after spending time training with her and also completing the odd mission with her she could feel herself drawing attracted to her.KAEVA AEROS
Kaeva was one of the best assassins Xyrias ever hired and she was so talented that the rest of the Montari family often approached her with jobs hoping she’d have the time to take them on. Kaeva and Xyrias also had a sexual relationship that often came under the category of ‘work’ whenever the imperial was bored or needed a release.LOMIYA VENAU
Lieutenant Venau was a woman that grew up on Carida with Xyrias and was two years older than her. Her parents didn’t let her join the imperial academy so after Xyrias snapped after her brothers death she caused Lomiya to snap by killing her parents which then lead to Lomiya snapping which caused her to kill her brother and eventually she ended up joining the Empire.SANN DISRA
Sann was essentially like Xyrias’s aunt since the bond she had with her mother was practically unbreakable so when the pair hung out when Xyrias was younger it was always lots of fun seeing what her elder got up to with the ISB. Sann watched the young imperial grow through the ranks and become a formidable commander.SSARIA
When Xyrias received her promotion to the Adjustments she moved from her parents home on Carida to a large chateau on Castell. When there the Moff in charge was Ssaria so very quickly the pair developed a friendship since they shared the same ruthlessness when dealing with rebels.VELIAN ( ELVE’LIA’NURUODO )
Xyrias met Agent Velian after a mission went wrong and she was left in a critical condition which caused her remain bedridden for weeks. Velian spoke to her during this time soothing the nightmares she was plagued with day by day and when she eventually came to she had to thank her saviour. From there on the relationship between the two of them flourished. The pair got along so well that he was introduced to her mother, father and cousin who were all happy that Xyrias was finding happiness somewhere that wasn’t rage fuelled.YSANNE ISARD
Director Isard met Xyrias when she was at the peak of her career and she helped her excel more when it came to being a soldier. It was no secret that Xyrias was a difficult person to manage but Isard knew she could handle her by appeasing to everything she needed. It was also made a whole lot easier by the fact Xyrias respected the director so she was better behaved and actually made efforts when it came to being disciplined.

When Xyrias was still attending Imperial Academy she became real close with Kyle Katarn and the pair were pretty much in a relationship. However this changed drastically when Kyle left the empire and Xyrias lost her brother. She immediately connected the two events and felt as if Kyle had betrayed her.CARLA
Carla was found out to he one of the key reason that Xyrias and her disowned adopted sister were in bad terms so when this was discovered Xyrias went to great lengths to make her pay for this. Xyrias has a great hatred for Carla and she is one person she is sure she’ll never be on good terms with.KAITO KRISS
Kaito on multiple occasions attempted to appeal to be on the same side as Xyrias but his tendency to double cross and let down the commander left him in her bad books. Whilst they pair don’t fight often it is clear to Xyrias that she has to keep him in check since his ego always makes him think he has one over her when realistically the playing field is there for anyones taking.

Xyrias and Aura ran in to each other a lot and the were pair in constant disagreement due to their views. Aura hated the Empire and Xyrias was a firm supporter of the faction she served. After many heated arguments and situations where Xyrias tortured Aura they managed to find level ground by agreeing to disagree and spoke almost as friends later in life despite Aura always being against the way Xyrias was. Even if she did now understand where she was coming from they agreed to focus on the things they did agree on to avoid conflict.LUXANNA TRIN
When exploring the Sith heritage Xyrias ended up on a mysterious planet where she discovered items belonging to her ancestor. She also discovered Luxanna who attempted to teach her the ways of the dark side which helped Xyrias learned that it wasn’t the path for her. Whilst the pair weren’t exactly friends they got along with each other well and agreed to help each other whenever they’d need it.NINA SCARSDOTTÍR
Nina and Xyrias had met when her imperial career was still young and she found herself finding a soft spot for her. However this soft spot began to irk her which caused her to act out and ended up almost killing her. From there their relationship was strained. After Xyrias’s mind was wiped slowly the lair reconciled but it wasn’t an easy journey due to the truths and lies Andriax fed her mother to keep Nina out of their lives.RIARA VYRNIE
Not many people could give Xyrias a reality check yet when Xyrias bumped in to Riara, she told Xyrias that her endless quest to cause suffering wouldn’t lead her anywhere good. Being someone who had lost a lot more than the imperial the perspective humbled her just a little.

VULCAN SQUADRON | VULC-11 BATTALIONThe Vulcan Squadron was founded in 1 ABY after Commander Montari combat record was noticed by the highest ups and deepened her talent too much to waste as a standard pilot. Her tactical knowledge and fearless combat practices earned her a squadron she could call her own.In 3 ABY the squadron was developed in to a battalion as Director Ysanne Isard took Commander Montari in to her ranks as part of the Adjustments and the squadron name changed to the VULC-11 squadron as part of the VULC-11 Battalion but the name Vulcan squadron was still widely used.CLAN SCARSDOTTÍRXyrias Montari was never part of Clan Scarsdottír but for a very long time they were a sole enemy of hers due to members of the clan badmouthing her and some even attempting to assassinate her for things she hadn’t done. She had a disagreement with their leader Nina Scarsdottír who at one time was seen as her little sister but they grew apart due to their differences.After the death of Vosca Serv’laya, cousin of Xyrias and good friend to Nina the pair began to repair their friendship as best as they could. Things never went back to the way there were but the clan and Xyrias mostly saw eye to eye.THE ADJUSTMENTS
Commander Montari joined the Adjustments after Director Isard took her under her wing. The Adjustments were a branch of the Empire’s Imperial Intelligence and the agents only received high priority assignment meaning that extreme flexibility could be used to gain their completion which of course was perfect for a soldier like Commander Montari. On top of this most of the orders given to agents part of the Adjustments were off the books and not found on imperial records.
DETAILED BACKGROUND
CHAPTER ONE: ORIGIN
[ 21 BBY — 0 YEARS OLD ]
Born on Carida in the year 21 BBY during the Clone Wars, Xyrias is youngest child of Varon And Kyra Montari, the former serving as a Republic Admiral at the time whilst the latter was a Republic scientist.Growing up Xyrias rarely saw her father though her mother was always present to take care of her and her older brother Tylan. As a child Xyrias was extremely sweet and curious with these traits only further fuelled by Tylan with the two siblings developing a close knit bond.It was during her years as a youth that Xyrias took a great interest in starships and speeders — having been interested in them for as long as she could recall. To this end older brother managed to acquire various simulations so Xyrias could learn how to commandeer and practice piloting the machines she loved so very much.It could be said that this, of all the events of her childhood, would impact greatest on the woman Xyrias was to become…
CHAPTER TWO: IMPERIAL INTRODUCTION
[ 16 BBY — 5 YEARS OLD ]
Xyrias was only five when the Republic fell and the Galactic Empire rose to replace it. Despite the restructure, her father, Varon Montari retained his rank of Admiral and continued to serve in the Imperial Navy whilst her mother, Kyra Montari, seemingly put any scientific career aside to become an ISB Agent.It was during this time that Xyrias began to primarily be looked after not only by her older brother, Tylan but also her uncle Luca and aunt Myria who also lived on Carida. This period would also see Xyrias and her father converse on just what his daughter had planned for her life. Despite her youth, Xyrias had seemingly made up her mind and told her father she wished for nothing more than to do her duty and join the Imperial ranks as pilot.Meanwhile her brother, Tylan was already training to become a Purge Trooper and, knowing that her dearest brother was already doing her part, Xyrias was all the more inspired, even wanting her training to begin at once. Her father acquiesced.At the age of ten, Xyrias was seemingly a prodigy, a natural pilot as well as being faster and stronger than most people her age. Seeing this, Tylan decided to take a risk and obtained a TIE fighter from the local academy and challenged his dear sister to attempt to fly it. After a shaky start, Xyrias proved herself a prodigy and piloted the craft with ease and, ecstatic as ever, Xyrias felt more and more that it was her destiny to become a pilot…
CHAPTER THREE: ACADEMIC ENROLMENT
[ 9 BBY — 12 YEARS OLD ]
Twelve years old and still driven to serve the Empire she believed in, Xyrias was enrolled to the imperial academy on Carida mainly specialising in ground combat. She was a little demotivated by this but Tylan ensured his sweet little sister that it was all necessary and the fact of the matter was that she was already an advanced pilot so it meant that it wasn’t exactly imperative she worried about flying for the time being.Tylan’s training as a purge trooper was also going well, meaning he was learning a lot of things Xyrias could use to get an edge on her fellow cadets, so whenever he was back on Carida he’d give her insights on how to practice composure on the battlefield but her lack of patience was normally her downfall in these sessions, a trait that remains to be seen as a weakness of hers, yet she never gave up no matter how badly her brother beat her and of course it didn’t change how much she adored and looked up to him.
CHAPTER FOUR: DEATH IN THE FAMILY
[ 5 BBY — 16 YEARS OLD ]
The major turning point in Xyrias’ life was when she lost her dearest brother just after she turned sixteen in an altercation with a Jedi. Whilst it was described as a situation where all parties involved in the combat died. Little did the teen know that the Jedi that had taken her brother’s life was a woman called Vosca that she had in fact met at a gala when she was much younger. Vosca was very much alive but the incident between her and Tylan wasn’t as black as white as it was marked up to be.It was no good to the empire having one of their star cadets quitting to embark on a quest for revenge so the lie was crafted to ensure Xyrias remained on task when it came to her studies. However things did change greatly. She adopted a cold and violent attitude which often lead to her get in to fights with her peers and after one fight almost lead to a brutal fatality an intervention was called upon.Admiral Montari couldn’t be pulled from the front lines since his leadership was imperative to keep the empire in the driving seat of the war so Kyra was contacted to have a meeting with Xyrias and and imperial officer who was dealing with the incident. The officer with the help of Kyra explained to the explosive cadet that her fury was allowed but it needed to be pointed in the right direction and if she failed to do so she’d be kicked from the academy without a second thought.
CHAPTER FIVE: GRADUATION
[ 3 BBY — 18 YEARS OLD ]
Xyrias’s relationship with her mother became extremely strained to the point where Kyra believed her daughter would lose her temper in such a way it would cause her to attempt to kill her. Because of this she went back to work with the ISB and left Xyrias to live with her Aunt Myria and her twenty one year old daughter Sanna. Sanna had already lost her father a few years prior but she had mostly recovered from the events and hoped she could nurse her little cousin back to normality.Little did she know that the rage that poisoned Xyrias’s veins was viscous and there was no way it was going to subside anytime soon. Fortunately at the academy Xyrias was back on task and she was sent off world for a few months to the Defiance Flight Training Institute to now further brush up on her piloting skills. Upon returning to Carida she graduated with flying colours and was rewarded by her mother and father personally with a sword composed of phrik and a place working directly for her father.
CHAPTER SIX: IMPERIAL ADVANCEMENT
[ 0 BBY — 21 YEARS OLD ]
Aged twenty one, Xyrias had two years of combat experience under her father’s command and despite the quarrel here and there they worked together well like clockwork. Xyrias still had her cold attitude but Varon knew how to work with it and he actually very quickly became accustomed to it. The same couldn’t be said for Kyra since she really missed the sweetness that Xyrias now lacked. Admiral Montari already had a definitive reputation in the ranks of the Empire but the young Montari was making a name for herself and soon enough the time came for Xyrias Montari to step up.Although Xyrias’s main focus was the war yet whenever she wasn’t on duty she’d use her looks to mess with her peers almost as if she was a forbidden fruit she knew none of them would be able to attain. That was until one did. Xyrias being the seductress she was wanted a child of her own, one she could turn in to a weapon to deploy to eliminate anyone who got in her way. Ignorance being something that plagued the young woman’s mind, she didn’t realise that she’d have to withdraw from the field because of her child so after becoming two months pregnant she had her mother remove her child from her body then had her raised in a lab. In said lab her aging was sped up as well as her ability to learn.When the Battle of Yavin took place Xyrias didn’t take part in but she had been present for the destruction of Alderaan which was a spectacle she’d never forget. It brought a smile to her twisted face but that was till she realised that XIV, an inquisitor she had bonded closely with even with her cold heart, had died in the incident. For a few days this loss made Xyrias soft and she halted the experiments on her daughter. If she wanted someone dead she was going to do it herself and a child wasn’t something she could manage so she sent the girl to the Coruscant underworld with adequate resources to get by after naming her Andriax.One year after the Battle of Yavin, Varon felt his daughter had learned enough and some of his peers agreed. The Empire promoted Xyrias and she was now Commander Montari as well as being issued a squadron which she named Vulcan Squadron. Whilst the control of it wasn’t entirely down to her she did request to be offered pilots of a similar calibre to her so her missions could go as swimmingly as possible.
CHAPTER SEVEN: THE MONTARI PURGE
[ 2 ABY — 23 YEARS OLD ]
The Montari’s family whilst power existed in the shadows of the galaxy but they had power and wealth that wasn’t used in the best ways. Xyrias’s radical uncle Arvis was the head of the family and he took it upon himself to decide the family needed to be better. The Montari name needed to mean more and strike fear in to the hearts of their enemies once again. Currently the only notable Montari’s were Xyrias, her father Varon and her cousin Sanna who whilst wasn’t involved often it was obvious she had power despite being distant. On top of that Varon and Xyrias always vouched for her.Arvis decided that the weakness came from the other Montari families and since Xyrias wasn’t to blame she was given the task for thinning the heard. The man knew how to influence the rage that burned within Xyrias so it took little convincing to get her onboard with his plan. That’s exactly how the Montari Purge began. It also helped that Xyrias wasn’t too keen on certain members of her family so over the course of a year she killed Teckly, Arsus, Alexis and Cerria Montari. A year after this purge and begun Xyrias sent her daughter the option to take on a mission to assassinate Zeth Montari and elder member of the family and she completed the mission without a hitch. Andriax wanted her mother’s approval so once the mission was completed she awaited more orders but received nothing.
CHAPTER EIGHT: PROMOTION
[ 3 ABY — 24 YEARS OLD ]
At the age of twenty four Xyrias made her big break by earning both a Distinguished Flight Medal and a Imperial Medallion of Service due to the sheer fact her efforts were really appreciated by her superiors. Most people expected her proud father to present her with the two medals she had earned but it ended up being a woman Xyrias didn’t know. Director Ysanne Isard. The Director had taken a liking to the young pilot and the ferocity that most officials couldn’t tame in her she felt would be a useful tool in her line of work. Fortunately for Ysanne, Xyrias immediately took a liking to her which meant she was going to try her best to not be a problem for her. The promotion she was offered was with The Adjustments as a Supreme Commander.The Vulcan Squadron was picked for his most elite pilots and renamed VULC-11 Squadron although its former name still stuck at times people often opting to still call it that. Xyrias was given full control of her squadron and the off the books missions she completed with Ysanne she finished with maturity and professionalism and it was clear that Commander Montari had changed for the better.Everything was going so well for The Adjustments but then Ava Livett stepped in to throw a spanner in the works. Interestingly she wasn’t there to disrupt Xyrias in the slightest. She wanted her to work for her which put the pilot in an interesting position. Whilst she was loyal to Ysanne, Ava’s style of command was really something she was in awe of, besides that her cold and evil behaviour was something that seduced her in to taking a dive in to learning more about her. The pair had the odd intimate meeting here and there which was a bond formed that Xyrias couldn’t ignore.After working missions back to back for a good few months Director Isard allowed Xyrias some time off and Agent Livett didn’t have anything she actively required her for either so Xyrias decided to read in to the history of her family. Given her new found attitude to work she felt her decision to follow her uncle’s lead blindly was a mistake and her Sanna was right not to get involved. Xyrias’s mother and father had told her many stories about her ancestor Varina Montari when she was a child but only now did she want to know more about her. The family needed a leader like her and Xyrias was determined to learn about her ways so she could become that leader.After discovering multiple artefacts and texts to do with her ancestor she began to attempt to connect with the force with little avail. It was only when she bumped in to a dark force user named Luxanna did she really receive some training in the dark side and it was proven that she wasn’t the one for the job. Then it loomed on her that her cousin Sanna. who was very skilled in the force and had better judgment, was the one for the job. Upon returning to duty with the adjustments she invited Sanna to hand her the texts and Varina’s lightsaber knowing that she’d make better use of it.Now back at work Agent Livett had Xyrias go right back to work on a mission she’d never forget. During this particular mission she ended up incapacitated and scrambled mentally by a rogue Sith. Bedridden and afraid for the first time in many years the voice of someone she hadn’t met yet help her fight off the terrors that burrowed at her mind. This voice belonged to Elve’lia’nuruodo commonly known as Velian. The pair built a strong bond and for the first time in years Xyrias felt about him in a way she hadn’t believed she could feel about anyone since the deaths of her brother and past lover XIV.After many successful missions with Director Isard and Agent Livett Xyrias brought the planet Telzus Igi to her superiors attention. It was the planet her family used to operate from but over time rogues on the planet took it over and transformed it in to a wasteland rather than a metropolis of opportunity. Xyrias asked if she was able to liberate the planets capital so her family could return home one day and also promised it would also serve as an Imperial outpost.Ava made it possible for her to liberate the planet off the books and since the planet wasn’t a tactical gain for the Empire in any way Xyrias was given a few months to achieve her mission and if it wasn’t completed she would need to return to focus on more pressing matters. After executing the Siege of Telzus Igi Xyrias achieved all she wanted to achieve and within four months she allowed Sanna to stay behind with a few troops to complete the takeover of the planets capital.
CHAPTER NINE: BARONESS MONTARI
[ 4 ABY — 25 YEARS OLD ]
Arvis Montari had been a dictator and a forceful leader to the Montari for years and his leadership rarely got them anywhere despite his power and influence. Their name wasn’t feared and the only people who ended up suffering were mostly Montari’s. Xyrias and her cousin Sanna stood up to the man and killed him in a fight that went smoother than expected. Xyrias was also prepared to kill her cousin E’ssala Montari who was married to her uncle Arvis but Sanna had her spare her life.Now in control of the Montari family Sanna made Xyrias the new Baroness whose job it was to assist her as the leader of the Montari family. The families base of operations was then moved to the recently liberated Telzus Igi where they build strongholds due to the permission being granted by the Empire due to Xyrias’s loyalty to them.Given Xyrias’s new attitude to life and given that she was more cooperative when it came to dealing with her friends and foes she actually ending up fixing things between her and an old enemy Aura Cabur-Tervho. They never seemed eye to eye in the past but they didn’t exactly have many reasons to be enemies apart from their opposing views. Deciding that she had a new found respect for the woman she decided to make peace with her and promised she would protect her as much as she could and listen to her side of things. Hearing her side often helped Xyrias see how people saw her and whilst she couldn’t change her ways she and Aura had an understanding of each other.
CHAPTER TEN: NOT SO SWEET REVENGE

Ten years had passed since the death of her brother and Xyrias still hadn’t moved on. She was still killing innocent lives and taking pleasure in torturing those who didn’t even earn her wrath. That all changed when Vosca made her confession, before she could even make an attempt at calming her down Xyrias fought with her the fight being dragged out by Vosca not fighting back more just defending against Xyrias’s fury until she made the decision to let her win. Vosca’s words and soft attitude even after being dealt a fatal wound hit Xyrias in the core and she apologised for her actions promising to try her best to be a little better.After departing from Vosca asking an old friend Nina to come and get her she made her way to Coruscant to see her daughter. Andriax accepted her mother but the bond they had was more of a sister kind. Xyrias almost ultimately becoming the type of sibling Tylan was to her. Andriax was already making a life for herself as a Mandalorian but she changed the Montari part of her name for Akkani to match her mother.The Empire fell and whilst Xyrias kept doing her piece to keep it alive but she also had something of a life since she was beginning to enjoy her relationship with Velian and he daughter. Her father then passed away of old age almost exactly year after the empire fell and instead of going ballistic she allowed Velian to help her through the process. Eventually she realised he was definitely the man she wanted to spent the rest of her life with so made it clear by accepting his offer and moving in with him.
